GVI, Inc., a DoD contractor industry leader, is seeking a Master Scheduler to support our North Charleston, SC. Customer, SPAWAR Atlantic, Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Command, Control and Communications (C3) Sub-Portfolio.
Assist setting up tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project requirements as scheduled; log project time-lines and maintain a master, integrated schedule of tasks and their status;
Roll up individual project plans and dependencies into an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and provide summary level schedule visuals for coordination and reporting purposes
Interact with project staff to schedule work, coordinate assignments and identification of variances from original/baseline plans
Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas
Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around
Develop and update weekly short interval/upcoming milestone schedule
Assist project teams to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress regarding schedule
Conduct what if analyses to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules
Develop and integrate tiered master plans & schedules on DOD programs
Lead program/Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
Develop IMS architecture for small programs or IPT's
Lead multi-schedule implementations and develop cross-project linking solutions
Prepare for and facilitate schedule reporting meetings with stakeholders
Perform special projects and initiatives as assigned
US Citizen only;
Active Secret Clearance or higher;
Minimum of 6 years project planning and integrated scheduling experience with Microsoft Project.
PMI credentials a plus but not required
Advanced skills with Microsoft Project is required.
Solid experience resource loading, identifying and resolving over allocations, and resource reporting in Microsoft Project
Solid experience with cost and schedule integration is a plus
Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills; strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and problems and follow through to completion.
Pro-active with high levels of energy, tenacity, and enthusiasm to deliver results
Exceptional focus on quality and strong attention to detail
Proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
