We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and highly organised individual to join PRH Children’s Fiction list as an Editorial Assistant for a three-month long internship. Penguin Random House Children’s has a distinguished heritage and a fantastic track record for publishing books by today’s most popular and bestselling authors, such as Roald Dahl, Zoe Sugg, Jeff Kinney, Rick Riordan, John Green, Jacqueline Wilson and Malorie Blackman.
Reporting to the Publisher, you’ll be providing full administrative and editorial support to the fiction publishing team. As well as general support, your responsibilities will include reading submissions, writing reports, liaising with authors, writing sales information and catalog copy and researching for pitches. You will also need to be confident in liaising with authors, agents and other Penguin Random House teams to ensure the publishing process runs smoothly and effectively, and a keen interest in the changing publishing and entertainment landscape is essential.
You will have proven organisational skills, be hard working, confident, fully computer-literate, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a genuine passion for the books we publish.
