Job Description: PURCHASING ASSISTANT
Performs purchasing and inventory activities as well as some forecasting analysis.
Job Duties:
? Maintains files and records
? Contributes to the coordination of operations regarding various matters, including assisting with the day-to-day tasks for procurement, warehousing and inventory
? Provides analyst support for variances, inventory and operations
? Serves as a back-up person on inventory transactions and tickets
? Assist with parts shortages given by contract manufacturers
? Assist buyer/planners across product lines with purchase orders as needed
? Assist in year-end preparation and activities
? Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed
? Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent work experience
? Minimum 2-4 years recent purchasing experience combined with knowledge of general accounting knowledge
? Experience purchasing electronics & electronic assemblies is a plus
? Must be extremely responsive & action-oriented
? Take charge attitude required
? Good organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills
? Ability to prioritize and multi-task
? Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
? Great Plains ERP software experience is a plus

Assist with and support internal and external customers by providing status/updates as needed.
Work with vendors to ensure pricing, quantities, delivery/promise dates are accurate.
