Job Title: Sr. Linux System Administrator

Location: Alpharetta/Atlanta 

Qualifications

• Senior Level System Administrator position must meet the requirements below. In addition, highly recommend Unix/Red Hat Certifications.

• Shall maintain system configuration and monitoring of multiple UNIX and Linux operating systems; range from RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS, FreeBSD, and Solaris.

• Experience with critical operations in a large-scale secure environment

• Strong hands-on experience as a Senior Unix/Linux Level System Administrator with Unix/Linux (Red Hat Linux Enterprise Server/Workstation Suite and Red Hat Satellite Server Suite preferred) including knowledge of related hardware and software.

• Experience with Red Hat products to include:

  • Red Hat Virtualization (RHV)

  • Ansible

  • Red Hat Satellite

• Strong experience with Linux administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux: RHEL on AWS platform

• Strong Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting Linux systems and applications

• Hands-on experience in performance monitoring enablement to manage the Scaling up and down of the environments

• Experience with Linux OS Patch (including taking snapshots of instances before applying updates) and OS Level Vulnerability Management

• Strong experience with Cookie Security, Web Browser Security, Server side encryptions, Data Encryption at Rest and Key management

• Strong experience with Image Management using Redhat Image

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) like EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, SSM and EBS.

• Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, nginx, MYSQL etc.

• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, or Chef

• Strong scripting skills, specifically in Bash or Python

• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, and routing

• Proficient with network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, HAProxy, etc.

• Experience in capturing, interpreting, and analyzing network traffic

• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP

• Troubleshooting Apache issues like performance testing and tuning, failure to restart, and queuing of requests

• Experience in performing multi-platform volume management using SVM, LVM, ZFS, NAS, and the VERITAS volume manager

• Experience with security best practices and implementing security controls in a AWS cloud environment

• Familiarity with wired and wireless networking hardware and architectures, Virtual LAN (VLAN) setup and configuration, VPN, Routing, IPV4, IPV6

• Experience in user account management for large organization

• Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage
