PeopleReady of Santa Barbara, CA is now hiring Residential Coordinators!As part of the interim housing team, the Residential Coordinator oversees the safety and basic needs of interim housing guests during their stay. The Residential Coordinator provides care and assistance to guests while exemplifying and promoting the established interim housing guidelines to ensure a safe and stable environment for all. The Residential Coordinator also assists with various tasks and duties that support the operation of the interim housing site. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with meal preparation, answering phones, and assisting with general facility needs as they arise.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $16 - $18 / hour
What you'll be doing as a Residential Coordinator:

• The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. • Complete bed count list before the end of each shift and review with staff for next shift
• Participate and be present for triage sessions
• Conduct regular rounds during the shift and complete the necessary documentation of observations during each round
• Compose triage reports on the behaviors and needs of each guest
• Monitor chore assignment and completion, informing providers of any resistance or lack of participation
• Recommend guests who go above and beyond to improve the community for thanks or “kudos”
• Monitor guest messages and mail
• Inventory supplies and prepare for next shift
• Assist in cleaning the facility and keeping the facility organized
• Monitor clients' basic hygiene
• Answer phones and take messages as needed
• If assigned to Cottage Health contacts, monitor the main phone line and respond to any inquires from Cottage Health
• Refer to Team Supervisor or guest's provider for crisis and suicide risk assessments, to provide appropriate interventions, and to ensure the completion of critical incident reporting withing 24 hours as required by the contract and PATH policies
• Provide crisis intervention services focused on enhancing the clients' ability to independently problem solve, use effective coping skills and manage own care
• Use evidence-based practices in service delivery such as intensive case management, Motivational Interviewing and Harm Reduction
• Complete progress notes on every face-to-face/telephone contact with client or collateral contact by the end of each shift
• Meet with Team Supervisor weekly for supervision
• A high level of tolerance and understanding for individuals who present for services with urgent and multiple case management and health needs
• Strong communication skills
• High level of motivation and self-starting demeanor with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure environment

Job requirements:

• Homeless services, case management, mental health and permanent supportive housing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Employment Eligibility Verification
• Reliable transportation
• Updated tuberculosis test
• Successful completion of background screening & drug test
• Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings or weekends
• Ability to provide community and in-home based services on a regular basis
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification through PATH
