Overview

The Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund has been established pursuant to the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) Act, Act 877 of 2014. GIIF's mandate is to provide financial resources to manage, coordinate and invest in a diversified portfolio of infrastructure projects in Ghana for national development. The GIIF is governed by a nine-member Board, appointed as per Section 8 of Act 877

Our compliance officer ensure the organisation operates within the law and meets current regulatory standards. They create and uphold compliance procedures and policies which they evaluate against best practice and regulatory standards, which are continually changing.

What You Will Do
1. The Legal, Risk & Compliance Officers will be part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals under the general supervision of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
2. Assist to develop and implement a detailed strategic risk management framework, both operational and those relating to the individual transactions of the Fund.Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program.
3. Proactively audit processes, practices and documents.
4. Advise management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports.
5. Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
6. Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.
7. Resolve employee concerns or question on legal compliance.
8. Assist to develop the processes and recommend the risk appetite statements and limits, and ensure the Fund remains within these limits.
9. Provide support to oversee the establishment of frameworks, policies, standards and guidelines for risk management.
10. Ensure GIlF's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
11. Assist with managing enterprise-wide, compliance, and operational risk, among others.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences
• Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business management, or a related field.
• 3 – 5 years’ proven experience in a compliance officer role.
• Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures.
• Brilliant oral and written communication skills.
• Highly-analytical with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in Risk Management.
• Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
