Relevant Experience 
(in Yrs) • 10+ years in IT, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture and delivery.
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and GCP) and their respective services 
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native application development, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices.
• Knowledge of edge computing and IoT frameworks for utilities.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Familiarity with data management tools and analytics frameworks for utilities.
Industry Knowledge:
• Experience with utility operations, grid modernization, distributed energy resources, and renewable energy integration.
Certifications:
• Cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Professional, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
• Relevant certifications in utilities or energy management are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with energy transition initiatives, including carbon reduction and renewable energy strategies.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML use cases in utilities (e.g., predictive maintenance, grid optimization).
• Understanding of utility-specific software like SCADA, OMS, CIS, and ERP.
Experience Required • Proven experience in the Power & Utilities industry, including successful implementations of cloud-based solutions.
• Hand on-Experience with major cloud providers such as AWS,  Azure, Google
• Knowledge and Experience in Real time scalability and highly available systems
• Experience in deploying large-scale cloud environments using container and microservice technologies
• Experience in Developing cloud security solutions 
• Experience in building strategy for end to end cloud adoption journey
• Multi-cloud adoption experience
Roles & Responsibilities • Cloud Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-based solutions to support the needs of utilities, including energy generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
• Industry Expertise: Leverage deep understanding of the Power & Utilities industry, including areas such as distributed energy resources, smart grids, grid analytics, and regulatory compliance, to deliver value-driven cloud solutions.
• Cloud Platform Expertise: Develop architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP, selecting the best-fit platform and services to meet client requirements.
• Technical Leadership: Lead the technical implementation of cloud migrations, modernization projects, and advanced analytics initiatives. Act as the go-to technical expert for clients and internal teams.
• Integration & Automation: Design and develop integrations with utility-specific applications such as SCADA, OMS, AMI, and ERP systems. Implement automation and orchestration for cloud operations.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure cloud solutions meet industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., NERC CIP, FERC, and GDPR). Build security-first architectures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and delivery teams to define and deliver end-to-end cloud strategies.
• Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to advise clients on digital transformation strategies, including IoT, AI/ML, and energy transition initiatives.
• Documentation & Training: Create detailed technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer sessions to clients and teams.
Generic Managerial Skills Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical solutions into business value for utility leaders.
• Support pre-sales activities including engaging prospects, conducting discovery workshops, developing point of views/solutions/scoping, writing proposals, engaging partners, and supporting sales and marketing enablement.
• Provide advisory services to existing and new customers on Cloud adoption, demonstrate new services to customers, support delivery team and guide them towards cloud enablement and Optimization initiatives.
• Must be able to communicate with CTO and CXO level audience by demonstrating Cloud Migrations and Transformation expertise
Salary Range: $140,000-$180,000 a year
