Skills

Proficiency in MicroStation and Geopak/Open Roads
Strong knowledge of stormwater management, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and storm sewer calculations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to coordinate with vendors and agencies
Experience in preparing permit applications for relevant agencies

Responsibilities

Prepare client contracts and schedules for survey crews
Develop construction documents and opinions of construction costs
Handle village submittals and reviews, and permit applications
Conduct field observations and coordinate construction activities
Engage with various agencies including Illinois EPA and Army Corps of Engineers

Qualifications

Licensed Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (PE preferred)
3-5 years of professional civil engineering experience
Experience with infrastructure projects including land development, drainage, and roadway management
Familiarity with compensatory storage calculations and detention basin sizing (preferred but not required)

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

Prior experience with project management, including scheduling and budgeting preferred
