Job Overview: The Human Resources Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting our workforce and fostering a positive work environment. They will be responsible for a range of duties including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, adept at problem-solving and committed to maintaining a healthy organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting screening interviews, and coordinating hiring efforts.
Administer employee benefits programs, answering employee queries, and ensuring timely enrollment.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Facilitate employee relations and address grievances to promote a positive work environment.
Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management on trends and insights.
Manage HR records, including contracts, leaves, and performance reviews.
Support training and development initiatives.
Assist in the performance management process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience in a human resources role.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and confidentiality.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment: The role is primarily office-based, requiring frequent interaction with staff across all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements: Primarily a desk job with extended periods of sitting; may require occasional lifting of light office supplies and materials.
