SAP Functional Solutions Architect (SCM)

Job Description:
The SAP Functional Solutions Architect (SCM) is responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end SAP supply chain solutions aligned with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. This role serves as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, SAP implementation teams, and technical delivery groups to ensure scalable, integrated, and high-performing SCM processes within SAP S/4HANA and related systems. Must have Lead the design and architecture of SAP SCM solutions across modules such as MM, PP, QM, SD, EWM.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
• Lead the design and architecture of SAP SCM solutions across modules such as MM, PP, QM, SD, EWM.
• Develop and document end-to-end process flows, integration designs, and solution blueprints.
• Define standard vs. custom design boundaries, ensuring best practices and reusability.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects to ensure alignment with the organization’s overall digital and data strategy.
Implementation & Delivery
• Drive functional solution design workshops and gather business requirements.
• Provide fit-gap analysis and develop functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, and reports (RICEFW).
• Oversee configuration, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and deployment phases.
• Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, and hypercare stabilization.
Integration & Collaboration
• Work closely with engineering (PLM/Teamcenter), CRM (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), finance (FICO), and data analytics teams for seamless integration.
• Partner with business process owners to identify continuous improvement opportunities and future roadmap initiatives (IBP, S&OP, digital manufacturing, etc.).
• Contribute to the development of SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) standards and reusable assets.
Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of SAP functional experience, with 5+ years in solution architecture or design leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in at least two SCM modules (e.g., MM, PP, EWM) and strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain process.
• Proven experience in greenfield and brownfield S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong understanding of integration touchpoints across Finance, Sales, Procurement, and Manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology, solution documentation, and blueprinting tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into scalable and robust SAP solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Experience with SAP BTP, MDG, or embedded analytics is a plus.
• Exposure to discrete manufacturing, engineer-to-order, or configure-to-order business models preferred.
