Children’s Lighthouse is seeking a nurturing, patient, and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our team. The Toddler Teacher will provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers (12–24 months). This role is essential in supporting early learning, social-emotional development, and growing independence while maintaining strong communication with families.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and hands-on learning.
Provide consistent care and guidance to toddlers, including support with meals, rest time, transitions, and potty training.
Observe, document, and communicate each child’s developmental progress to families on a regular basis.
Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with children, parents, and team members.
Follow all state licensing guidelines and Children’s Lighthouse policies to ensure health, safety, and compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
At least 2 years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or preschool environment.
Strong knowledge of child development milestones and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
Effective communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
