Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated, compassionate Nursing Assistants to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will support patients and assist with their daily activities. Your role will be crucial to ensuring our patients' comfort and well-being.
Available shifts: (6a-2p, 2p-10p, and 10p-6a)
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help patients with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Collect and document medical information and patient history.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Assist with medical procedures under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Follow infection control protocols and practice aseptic techniques.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient care.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in a healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with medical documentation systems, such as Epic, is a plus
- Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is beneficial
- Experience in acute care, critical care, and nursing home is desirable
Requirements:
- Valid C.N.A certificate for NYS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
