Overview

We are looking for a strong Active Directory & Entra ID Engineer to support multiple divestment and directory separation projects. The engineer will work under the direction of the Lead Solution Architect and will focus on discovery, build, migration, and documentation across several identity transformation initiatives.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring experience with Active Directory migrations, Entra ID environments, enterprise-scale directory infrastructures, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Active Directory and Entra ID discovery including users, groups, devices, service accounts, and GPOs.

Document identity architecture, authentication flows, and application dependencies.

Build new Active Directory forests/domains and Entra ID tenants based on architecture standards.

Configure Hybrid Identity using Azure AD Connect or Cloud Sync.

Perform user, group, and device migrations using migration tools.

Support environment validation, migration cutovers, and post-migration stabilization.

Develop and maintain technical documentation including:

Migration runbooks

Operational checklists

Migration reports

Technical documentation

Required Skills

5–8+ years of enterprise Active Directory engineering experience

Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID

MFA

Conditional Access

Identity Governance

Directory synchronization

Hands-on experience with Active Directory migrations and forest-to-forest migrations

Strong PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting

Experience with directory migration tools

Mandatory Qualification (Most Important)

Strong Active Directory migration experience

Hands-on experience with directory migrations handling user bases of 1000+

Expertise with Quest migration tools such as:

Quest Migration Manager

QODM (Quest On Demand Migration)

ADMT

Nice to Have

Microsoft Certifications:

MS-102

SC-300

AZ-104

Experience working on M&A, divestments, carve-outs, or restructuring projects

Familiarity with privileged access management and cybersecurity best practice
